About Me

I am a translational neuroscientist at LPDN Laboratory (Department of Neurology, Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital), dedicated to decoding the molecular interplay between proteostasis and neuroinflammation in neurodegenerative diseases.

My research pioneered the identification of the immunoproteasome (PSMB8) as a critical driver of alpha-synuclein pathology in Parkinson's Disease. Combining advanced molecular medicines with clinical validation, my work aims to identify druggable targets within the ubiquitin-proteasome system and immune system to halt neurodegeneration.

Recognized by the domestic and international grants, my vision is to establish a leading laboratory that bridges bench-side discoveries with clinical intervention.
